Do you know how to extract palm oil that we use in our everyday life. Palm oil is used for many things depending on what you want. Most of the time palm oil is used in various hometowns. My hometown deals in extraction of palm oil. And there are many ways to do that. My hometown uses two types of ways to extract palm oil. The healthy way. Certain palm oil are mixed with other unrelated things but a good palm oil has a good taste.
Down below is how my hometown extract palm oil. I don’t know if it will be useful to my audience but it said knowledge can be shared with others which can make others know their standards and ways.
Palm oil is obtained from riped fruit of a palm tree. When the palm fruit is harvested, the branches are carried in the basket but the fruit are carried in a sack.
The fruit are chopped from the branches and it gathered in the basket. The fruit are covered with palm leaves or plantain leaves and left to mould. After some days, the mouldy fruit is spread out in the sun to dry.
Fresh palms are added to the oily mould fruit and boliled. When well cooked. It either milled in a machine or pounded in a big mortar by two or more people with strong body. It pounded till it turned to a pulp(is a moist part of a fruit) the nut are removed and the pulp is squeezed.
After pounding ,the pulp is put in oil presser and oil is squeezed out. Spices are added to the oil and left to boil on a mild fire.
It can also be mixed with water strained and boiled on hot water. The red oil that appears on the surface is collected. Left to cool for some time. Then it read to be sold for money, used for cooking, or exported to other countries to be sold.
My hometown is good in making palm oil. So I know this from asking around. And I collected this information from the elderly women who are involved with it.
Everything was told in details. And it was added to that it their passion and they don’t feel pressured when making it. But in people’s minds they think is pain in the ass.
In my opinion. Everyone one and what he or she can do . We can’t look down on others. Our passion are different in our ways.
